A CASE REPORT OF THE BILATERAL TEMPROROMANDIBULAR JOINT ANKYLOSIS CAUSED BY PSORIATIC ARTHRITIS
Main Article Content
Abstract
There are a wide range of causes of Temoromandibular Joint (TMJ) ankylosis. However, the involvement of Temporomandibular joint in PsA leading to TMJ ankylosis is rare which is less than 15 cases reported in literature until now. This patient got a severe TMJ dysfuntion caused by PsA, who was treated quite successfully by surgical method of L.B Kaban (1990) as well as physical therapy. In general, we hope that our report about the severe PsA TMJ ankylosis case is able to contribute moderately to the knowledge about assessment criteria and treatment guideline for these patients.
